FAQ

Common Questions

Where does the $0.07/kWh rate come from?

APS and SRP both offer EV or time-of-use plans with overnight rates in the 6–8¢ range. On a standard plan you’d pay more — which is why we tell every charger customer to switch plans the same week.

Does charging at home really beat public charging?

Dramatically. Public DC fast charging often runs $0.35–$0.50/kWh — five to seven times the overnight home rate. Home charging is where EV ownership actually gets cheap.

What does the install itself cost?

Most Phoenix Level 2 installs run $850–$1,600 depending on distance from the panel, including permit and inspection. Check your panel first with our free load checker.
